R.P. WHITE NURSING

FACILITY

The Reginald P. White Nursing Facility, a division of East Mississippi State Hospital, is a 226-bed nursing facility which offers all levels of care to individuals in need of

long-term care. The facility is located in a quiet, wooded area of North Meridian and is comprised of two separate buildings, the James T. Champion Building and the Reginald P. White Building.  Reginald P. White Nursing Facility is fully licensed by the Mississippi Department of Health, Division of Health Facilities Licensure and Certification for participation in the Medicaid program.  Insurance, private pay, and Medicaid are accepted for payment of services.

Reginald P. White Nursing Facility provides an interdisciplinary approach to each resident’s care that is specific to the individual and seeks to maintain the individual’s highest level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. Reginald P. White Nursing Facility is committed to providing care that enhances the dignity and maintains the independence of those entrusted to our care. 

 

Every Day Activities

 

At Reginald P. White Nursing Facility the   residents enjoy activities and socializing in the large day room or relaxing in the quiet solitude of the library.  There is a glassed-in activity area for arts and crafts and exercise classes and for those who enjoy the outdoors, there is a fenced-in covered and non-covered patio area as well as a walking path.  A variety of activities are available to the residents. These  include activities at the facility such as bingo and other games, as well as activities outside the facility such as trips to restaurants and the local theater.
